Fun Casino – Riverboat Cruise Celebration

Bristol Packet Boats – Kingston Barnes May 2017

A perfect summer afternoon on the river with a friendly crowd of people. Good company in more ways than one – hard work really paid off as these guys more than met their target and were awarded a ‘jolly’. What a nice Boss! We were so pleased to be part of it.

Guests seemed to enjoy the extra Aces Blackjack Schnapps Challenge Prize – or punishment, (depending on whether you liked the taste of it or not)  for getting a blackjack hand was to down a shot of schapps – as one guest is bravely demonstrating. They were allowed to nominate if driving home but not many chose to do that!

Roulette and Blackjack Table Hire

The roulette game was just as exciting, even if a lot of the guests had to rely on payday loans and loyalty bonuses to get through the afternoon. With such a small party we could afford to be generous and allowed them in turn to experience big value games. Our croupiers were delighted to show them a few neat tricks and strategies to ‘maximise their winning potential’.

When the ball dropped in a good number – they voiced their approval!! We had one very lucky player, almost destined to take home the champagne but all in all, everyone, staff and players had a great afternoon.

If you’re wondering where to hold a party and what to do when you’re there – an Aces Fun Casino on one of the beautiful Bristol Packet Boats is a perfect idea when looking for an alternative venue – Click here to send a message via our contact form or call FREE on 0800 107 7001 to speak with our team.

Early Christmas Party Booking

Early Bird 2016 Christmas Party Bookings

This year, Aces has seen a significant increase in early Christmas bookings. So much so that there are very few December weekend dates available – enquire now on 0800 107 7001

With our newly refurbished wheels and tables we are delighted with our beautiful casino set-ups and are very confident our clients will be too. The most popular games are of course, roulette and blackjack.

Trained Croupiers To Help You Learn Vegas Games

For extra variety we have four variations of poker – Caribbean Stud, Texas Hold ‘em, Three Card Poker and our brand new, straight from ‘Vegas baby – Let it Ride! Pair these with our team of dedicated professional croupiers – who work as much for love as for money (they really do!) and you have a guaranteed success at any social gathering.

Themed Fun Casino Parties – Go For Glam

For themed parties, we’ll do our best to help decorate – we especially recommend our Bond themed events. We can bring roll-up banners with a Bond golden girl silhouette and life-sized special agent standees. These, by the way don’t cost the earth – and with bookings of four or more tables come as part of the package.

However, in December, demand always far outweighs supply so, if you are thinking of booking a Christmas party with a fun casino, our advice is – don’t delay! Send a message on our Contact Form now.

Best and Worst Blackjack Hands

What’s The Best Blackjack Starting Cards?

Everybody’s ideal hand in blackjack is 21 right away. After all, being dealt 21 on your first two cards automatically wins you the hand (provided the dealer doesn’t have blackjack) and nets you either a 3:2 or 6:5 payout. So if you bet $10 under 3:2 payout rules, you’d collect a £15 profit.

Unfortunately, we can’t rely on being dealt a natural blackjack too often. In a standard 6-deck game, you only have a 4.75% chance of being dealt a natural. That said, you’ll be dealing with a large variety of hands while trying to improve your score and beat the dealer. And here’s a look at the best and worst among the bunch.

Best Starting Hands

Two Aces – Why not start off with the chance to have two great hands in one round!? Split this one every time because you have an excellent opportunity to win both hands.

11 – The great thing about being dealt an 11 is that you’re just one 10-value card away from hitting 21. And even if you don’t get a 10-value card, 7, 8 or 9 still leave you in pretty good position. When your cards are 11, it’s recommended that you double down every time, except for when the dealer has an ace.

10 – This is another hand where you double down in most situations, save for when the dealer has a 10 or an ace. Speaking of the latter, if you’re lucky enough to get an ace, you will hit 21.

Worst Starting Hands

16 – The problem with 16 is that the dealer is supposed to hit until they at least reach 17. Of course, the dealer will bust out trying to do this sometimes, but more often they won’t. What’s worse is that when you hit to try and get a better score, you stand a good chance of busting out.

15 – This is yet another hand that puts you in a poor position to win because your score isn’t very high, yet you might bust out by hitting. For this reason, it’s definitely a good idea to grab a blackjack strategy chart and make the correct moves so you avoid being put in these situations.

Bristol UWE Evening

Bristol UWE Fun Casino Night

Durdham Hall was the setting for the evening of September 28th 2014. Opened in October 1994, Durdham Hall is the newest of the University’s Halls of Residence. Situated at Stoke Bishop, the traditional style building with a central quadrangle is set in landscaped grounds with open views. The Hall offers modern and attractive self-catering accommodation for 223 students in flats of six or seven study bedrooms with en suite facilities per flat.

The evening had some tough competition but in the end it was the worthy winner smiling with his prize that lit up the room!
